Hi! It's been a long time…. just before my last post I had contracted scabies which overwhelmed me to the point of putting many things on hold. It should have been sorted quickly, but the doctors misdiagnosed it. Thankfully now, fingers crossed, it seems to have been cured and I am getting back into what I need to do to move my life forward 😀

I used fedora on my laptop and desktop up until about a month ago. I still use fedora on the laptop but that is only really because I need to find the time to back my files up properly before switching over to Arch on that one too… oh yeah, I use Arch btw, again…

I am now looking into self hosting services, including this blog. Currently using cloudflare tunnels for ease of setting up and using (at least it is now I understand after hours of trying different ways of doing things and realising KISS is probably one of the best mindsets). I will do a write up of how I'm doing this so that even if I forget how, I can just read up and get on with it.

This also goes for anything else I do, whether tech or otherwise. I need to start taking better notes and then writing them up. I have looked into the Tiago Forte BSAB/PARA/CODE stuff, and really like it. The CODE idea (Capture/Organise/Distill/Express) can help me with this as I use emacs orgmode (mainly) to capture and organise. Then I will use orgmode to distill the information either into the Resources part of PARA, and then Express/Explain using this blog and presenting to work colleagues and at meetups. At least, this is the plan. Let us see!
